MAC programs on the PC was created by michaeloconnell
I'm wondering, what's the best way (if any) to run a mac program on a pc? Surely Al/Bart or someone else here has tried it before??
I saw a nice program called MacAstronomica featured in S&T and would like to give it a try.
Thanks,

Never had the need to try. Google suggests SoftMac www.emulators.com/softmac.htm

If people would only write more in Java so we can stop having to work out how to emulate and remotely interact with applications!

You can run PC programs on a Mac using Virtual PC but I don't know of anything that works the other way round.

MAYBE a version of VMWare would be able to do this but I'm really not sure.

BTW, since my miniMac will be winging it's way to me soon, any chance of a link to that software?

I use both Mac and PC but I have never found a Mac emulator for PC. My best suggestion is to buy one of those new Macs which use existing Display keyboard and mouse or look in Buy and Sell for an inexpensive second hand Mac. The good thing about Macs is that the seem to run forever. I purchased my first mac in 1993 and it runs as well today as when it was bought.

PS Im writing this on a PC!

I'd have to agree with Liam, thenew miniMac's start at only 520 Euro and come with free shipping. I'm ordering one later in the week so I can fianlly have a mac at home as well as at work!

Thanks lads!
The software is reviewed in the Feb issue of S&T. The link is:

It creates an excellent view of the Milky Way which I was hoping to incorporate in some sky charts for Réalta.
Ah, well...I'll keep my eye out for some other program.
