Super image Richard - so much interesting stuff in there. Can't believe that you got that detail with 150s subs...well done on a fantastic finish for all the time you put in. The end result was well worth 31 hours + all the processing time.

Thanks Brendan. These new cmos astro cameras are very sensitive, and there's a new sensor coming soon. Qhy 268c 16 bit apsc backlit sensor, should be even more sensitive with very low read noise.

Magnificent image, Richard!

Could you remind us as to what constellation all these glorious nebulae reside?
Something tells me they are in Cepheus.
But I may be wrong.

Please send us even more images.

Clear skies,

Aubrey.

Thanks Darren. Yes the Galaxy was something i wanted to get in from the beginning. If i could do it again i think i would have given the Bat a little more room to the left.

Not at all Richard. You're fantastic image encouraged me to find out more about each of the items you captured. It is amazing to think about how many supernova have been observed in the Fireworks Galaxy! As Brendan said 'so much interesting stuff in there.'

Once again, very many thanks for sharing your image with us.

Thanks Darren. It's a wonderfully interesting Galaxy, it's also thought to be interacting with a dwarf galaxy. I'd love to image it at a long focal length.

Hi Richard,

Many thanks for informing me about how Fireworks interacts with a dwarf galaxy - that was news to me! Also, if you do manage to photograph them I'm sure they'll look spectacular.

Clear skies,

Darren.
