first attempts with meade lpi

ladies and gents,
i have uploaded 3 images in the resources section that are my first attempts with the meade lpi camera attached to my meade 8" lx200gps scope. i didn't try anything fancy with them i was really only expirementing to see if i could get something useful. the are the best of the images i took, single frames not stacked. they have been stretched a bit and sharpened other than that i have not done any other processes to them.

They are actually great shots Stephen! A tad out of focus, but you mentioned that. Otherwise, they are nice shots.
I would say though that you would not have as great a quality with deeper sky objects, without the use of an aid in either processing, or exposure techniques. But that will come to you with time!

What kind of camers is it Stephen? Have you got the specs and a picture of it?

They're pretty good images Stephen.
I've ordered one myself as I hope to eventually use it as an autoguider and PEC-training-camera for my scope.

Nice moon shots Stephen. If you look closely at "moon2" you can see the impression that the lava has flowed in and flooded Mare Nectaris and Fracastorius. On that same image you also have the Apollo 11 landing site.

Great shots there, looks like the lpi cuts it pretty well for lunar and probabily planetary images, whats the longest exposure you can get out of it, assuming you have perfect tracking and no light pollution ??
Is the chip size 320X240?, have you tried autoguiding with it ?
What kind of control do you have over the exposure and contrast etc ??

Like John said, the detail in the lava plains are great, diddn't see any flag though
