Hi all

Below recent img of the crater Theophilus using the CG11 at f/10. Aquired with astrosnap pro and processed with Registax3 beta.

On the subject of Regi3 full beta release to 300 preselected users should be in the next couple of days with a full release baring catastrophes within the month. Some great new features.

That's a good sharp image Dave.
I se you used astrosnap pro. Is there much of a difference between that and k3ccdtools?

Hi mIchael

The main difference (and it's a big one in my opinion) that astrosnap will track the object and put it in a secondary window. This seconadry window is saved as a series of bmps with the image more or less centred in it. This means that you will get a better alignment in Regi as it does not have to go chasing all over the place. So instead of an avi you get a series of bmps.

PS
GUI info on Registax3 now availible on the Registax site.

Sorry I forgot something else. Regi3 now allows you to adjust the wavelets themselves. This image uses only layer 1 but setup much sharper than in Regi2 in order to sharpen only fine detail.

Dave G,
When you say it tracks the image, do u mean that the program has actual control over the scope and it keeps the image centered on the chip by making slight adjustments to the tracking?
