Hi all

Corvus was visible low to the south, just above the roof of the shed and id one of those constellations that don't get a lot of attention.  I was looking for doubles n this small constellation and hot upon a pair of beauts.
STF 1604:  A lovely 7th magnitude yellow primary sits with a 8th magnitude pale blue companion.  Close to the primary is a 10th magnitude white star that makes this system a triple star.

STF 1669:  Two golden 6th magnitude stars sit in close proximity to each other, the separation is 5.3 and using higher magnifications really show this pair to their best.  There is a fainter third member, 10th magnitude, but it gets lost in the beauty of the primary and secondary.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Hi Paul,

Sounds like you observed some nice doubles last night. Those little surprises when observing are lovely moments. Nice finds!

All the best,

Darren.
