Unexpected clear spells last night, but horrendous light pollution. Viewed these with the Celestron C6-SGT.

OE134. - In M35. Close but easily split pair, at the end of a nice chain of stars.

Iota Cancri. - Bluish secondary rather washed out compared to normal.

Algieba. - Both pale yellow. Best view at 180x.

Xi Bootes. - Very close pair, split at 180x.

Mu Bootes - Lovely wide pair, pure white primary and rather fainter white companion, which is also a double, although not split on this occasion. Best view at 60x. Possibly the best of the Bootes doubles.

Epsilon Bootes - very close pair, but split at 180x. Yellow primary, hint of blue in secondary. Best view in a long time.

35 Coma Berenices - Yellow primary, grey/white secondary. Large magnitude difference between these two, mag 5 and 9.8.

24 Coma Berenices - Easy at 60x, both white, first time seeing this pair.

Nice collection Stevie, I find doubles embedded in open clusters wonderful, picking out the subject from amidst the near neighbours makes the thrill that little bit more special.

You've a few there I must add to my next observing session.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.
