Science vs Religion! was created by Tonybwf

Hi all,

im not a very religious person but since iv become intrested in astronomy an science its kinda totally rulling out religion for me anyway, because i kind see science as facts...the more programs i watch about the big-bang an the origins of humans the more i tend to think that were here by chance an just evolved as the dominate lifeform because of our intelligence and curiosty to develop and invent...the thought that some being created everything is a bit hard to swallow when you believe in science..this is my opinion and i dont want to offend anyone but id love to hear yeer thoughts on it....i think we are here by evoulution nothing else!
Regards
Tony

I suspect the risk of offending peoples religious sensibilities makes it not worth risking a discussion like this one.

The best book written on religion in the last 10,000 years is to be found here:

www.amazon.com/God-Delusion-Richard-Dawkins/dp/0618680004

It should be required reading in every monastery, convent, cloister, mosque, pagoda, temple, church, chapel, parish and cathedral.

P.S.

Religions have never hesitated to "offend" the beliefs of the heratics who disagree with them.

We are not allowed to "offend" their beliefs though!

Poor delicate souls that they are.

Even the name of a Teddy Bear can make them break out in a sweat.

Posts like that are precisely why this topic should be left alone.

Thread locked. Reference was originally how religion and science/astronomy seem to cross lines and evade others.

Whether religions of the world are offensive or not is NOT a topic of discussion on these forums.
