Well done to our own Trevor O'Donoghue for getting his Eclipse video on June's "The Sky at Night" magazine in the Hot shots section of the CD.
I also see one of Anthony's images there, but what self respecting magazine does not have one of Anthony's excellent images...

Wow, I did not know of this outcome of events. Yes, I knew they were interested in my photos but no idea what, if anything, had transpired.

Is my photo in the magazine (Hot Shots, Gallery) or the CD? Also, which photo is it, for they asked for six of my photos in high-res?

Hi Trevor,

A very big thank you for the heads up and details. I am quite frustrated with the editorial folks at S@N magazine, for they do not inform their contributors if and when something is published nor do they supply a sample issue/CD containing their work.

I have been fortunate to have my work appear in 40+ magazines and this is the only magazine I have encountered (!) where such a policy is in effect. I honestly do not understand their rationale?!

Guys,

I sincerely hope we can all meet in Russia for the Aug 1/2008 total solar eclipse which we can observe and photograph together (2.5 minutes of totality).

I am also equally interested in going to the biggie the year thereafter in China where we will have over six minutes of totality.

Thanks to you and all my other Irish friends here, this is VERY true.

I will be buying a few rounds of cold beer while WE are in Russia for the next total solar eclipse.

At the risk of stating the obvious, the beer consumption will only follow the event. :lol:

The time in Turkey was an experience that will live with me indefinitely.
