I have (at long last) managed to get a few beginner shots and i would like your critical opinion... how do i go about lettin you see pictures?? URL??

Glad you enjoyed WSP, as for the images, press the "Img" button to the top right, then paste the path of the image and press the "Img" button again,

Pity we didnt get the name tag thing working this year again but
there is always next year.

As for posting pics on the site....

Most people here use www.flickr.com or one of those hosting sites for storing the photos.

To post a pic into the message,
Begin your post,
then click the ''Img'' box (its the second last box over the place where
you type in your message) an you should get this:[img size=320] Copy and paste in the address of the image and click the ''Img'' box again and you should get this :[/img]

So the line should look something like;
[img size=320] http;//www.flicker.com/133434144/1134141 [/img]



If you use Flickr, after you have uploaded your pic,
just overhead it is a tab called 'all sizes'
Click that and the default image is always 'large'
You then 'right click' on the photo and click 'view image'
The full address in the address bar should be the address you copy and paste.

General rule here is don't post up huge images.
if you do want people see big size shots just post a link to them
(instead of using the ''Img'' box use the ''URL'' box.

As further help Kevin, you can use the Add an Avatar help Sticky for the same principal (though away from the User Profile Panel!) to add an image if you need a help source.

Talking of avatars I'm most impressed with Dave Lillis' new one! That's a scope where you need a ladder not just to put it together but also to look through the eyepiece! Scary!

The views through it are even scarier, I was only saying during the week that the secondary mirror in the scope is bigger then the aperture of my first scope many years ago.
