Trying to find my bearings.

I'm just trying to understand something, our solar system is called "the solar system" and contains the planets, our moon and our sun. Would it be correct to say that our sun and the moon, are also the other planets ( Venus etc.) sun and moon? Or do they have their own seperate moons?

Hi there. If you have a look at wikipedia it will cover all of the definitions of what constitutes a planet and a moon. The definitions aren't perfect but they do prevent every natural satellite of a larger body being referred to as a moon.
