Nexstar 4 tracking

Hi there

im new with my nexstar 4 and im trying to take some photos with it.

the problem is the telescope does not seem to be tracking correctly.

Im using the 3 star alignment.

and the pictures all show as streaks for anything over 3 seconds exposures.

any ideas what im doing wrong?

What mount are you using?
The 3 star allignment is for go to accuracy.for tracking you have to polar allign the mount properly.

im using the computerized altazimuth mount

that came with the telescope

Well in that case you will need to get a wedge for your mount to be able to polar allign your mount and there should be an option in your hand controller aswell.never done that before so don't know much about it but it is possible.
