Moon occults Aldebaran was created by flt158
Hello, all.
Many of you probably know that on Thursday night 22nd March we have a lunar occultation of the bright star Aldebaran. It is happening at late hour of 23.37 UT from Dublin. It will happen at different times in all other counties of Ireland.
I am not so sure of the weather. We'll have to keep an eye on that. There are some showers about on Thursday afternoon. Let us wait and see.
The star reappears at 0.16 am. That's about 30 minutes later.

Personally I have not seen Aldebaran occulted by our Moon since the late 70's in a 6" F8 Newtonian.

So clear skies to all from Aubrey.

It will be very low in the sky.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.
