Thanks Paul. That's a really superb image of Mars... is there a chance Phobos or Deimos might be visible on an image of that quality? I know they might be behind the planet at that point of course.

It's very tricky Finbarr. Both Martian Moons at this stage are 2 and 3 mags brighter than Pluto, but also they are very close to Mars, currently -2.4. I have seen images from 11 and 14 inch scopes fitted with a blocking bar to "eclipse" Mars and that can show Phobos and Deimos, though the resulting picture isn't terribly beautiful!
