There was a bright aurora display last night visible weather permitting as South as Cornwall. Alas I was clouded out. There MAY be more activity tonight also.
Some excellent pictures taken from Ireland on social media from Donegal, Waterford from what I saw. Probably other areas got clear weather.

It is such a pity we were not informed of the Aurora before it occurred.

I was watching stuff on tv yesterday so wasn't on twitter etc for most of the day so didn't know myself until I went on last evening etc. If not on social media, best keep an eye on the Space Weather website.

Saw nothing in Sth Limerick. Clear skies early in the evening but IP camera shows me it clouded over before 11pm, which I believe was the relevant time. Doesn't look good for this evening.

Cloudy conditions seem to have limited the views of it last night. One Facebook guy got a shot of it from Sligo direction, with some pictures on Twitter from County Armagh and from Belfast.
