That Moon was pretty low in daylight yesterday. I didn't even notice it myself. What are you concocting now Deirdre?!

Yes it was so low , and so early, The New Moon was at 06:01 Thursday, 11 October from Bray. A Dunsink person has asked me for an observation/ report/ sighting if anyone noticed it, or the young moon since.

i saw it this evening in the sky at about 5pm when i was coming home from work in cappagh hospital. i noticed it through the window of the office. i pointed it out to the guy i work with and he saw it also. it was fairly thin crescent. the sky was fairly faint as the sky was more white than blue in the part of the sky i saw it in. it could not have been more than 15 degrees above the horizon. i could still see it about 30 minutes later when i got home from work.

Saw it sitting on the horizon in the southwest at 19:20bst behind some streaks of cloud.

Thanks for these sighting I have passed the information on to the person who needed it.
