Shuttle launch Feb 7th 2008 was created by dpower
Hi all,

Been a while since I've posted, so hello again.
Anybody know anything about the trajectory of this launch? I've heard that the launch will be visible from Ireland. No idea of mag. direction etc. Anybody got an idea?

Often, the likes of Heavens Above will withhold that information until the shuttle is launched. As the times of launch can vary - of course, up until it is actually launched - then calculations on its orbit will not be known until a couple hours after launch.

If the weather was in our favour, you might see the rise of the shuttle a few minutes after launch if its trajectory makes it come our way. Chances are, it will, as it is going to the ISS which is seen over Ireland for the next week.

I would have thought that trajectory info on the shuttle is top secret.

Anyways.after a lovely clear day up here in the big smoke...a few clouds are rolling in.

No surprise there.

nope. But don't give them ideas...

Often, the likes of Heavens Above will withhold that information until the shuttle is launched.

They probably dont want to give out times until they are sure the launch was successful. However heres the planned orbit for the mission.
