Excluding Earth also excludes any of its satellites.

What ? No Moon?

Well that fairly limits the the entries. I guess we'll be seeing a lot of Jupiters, Mars is too small, Saturn is now very low and past spectacular, Mercury may put on a show for early risers, anyone trying for Uranus?

Don't forget John (assuming you did read the rules ! :P ), the entries could have been taken at any time - not just from now!

What about animated gifs, are these in or out??
As they are not still pictures, I had to ask.

And thanks for doing so. I think by the very name of the competition, it would rule out any animations. Its all two dimensional flat still images we're after! I think I know the animation you'd want to submit Dave, but I don't think it would be fair to the other entrants! ;)

Sorry!

Funny thing there Seanie is that I wasn't going to submit any animations, I also feel that they wouldn't be right for this.

Sound. Still, your Jupiter gif is worthy of being entered in many a competition I'd reckon Dave.
