Hi Seanie,

Here is a test effort through very thin clouds as you can see by the soft focus and lack of contrast: www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-1435.htm ... there is also a slight centering problem but everything will be resolved during the early part of next week with the final version for submission. :P

Looking good Anthony - you have definitely caught some wisps there! I can't say any more on it though as it is a potential entry for the competition - as long as you e-mail the image link and details NO LATER THAN next Monday!

Hi Deirdre,

You have my word there is a much better image on the way and as early as Monday or Tuesday. This particular effort has some minor issues ... it is not centered, something went wrong with one of the red exposures which messed up my overall stellar colouration and it was shot through very thin clouds which would not go away.

Predictions are for perfect skies starting Monday evening and I will be looking to shoot a total of five hours for this particular reflection nebula (2 hrs luminance and 1 hr for each of RGB).

I hope to touch base within 24 hours with a newer and better result.
