With the closure of the March Astrophotography Competition, it is time to judge the entries. Please view the included images, and select from the poll options which one you would like to see the winner. There is no need to reply to this post, or add comments - peoples views are their own but may seem to sway favour towards a particular photo if too many comments towards a particular photo is made.

The Lunar Eclipse aomg the stars of Leo, taken with a Canon 350D, ISO 400 10 sec exposure, mounted on a Celestron C102SLT refractor.

The Rising Gibbous Moon.This image was taken afocally with a Bresser Skylux 70mm refractor and a Sony digital camera.


Entry #3

Total Lunar Eclipse mosaic taken March 3rd 2007. The exposures were taken between 23:25hrs and 23:40hrs using a Meade LXD75 6" Newtonian with a Philips Toucam 740 Webcam. Captured with K3CCDTools v1, Registax v4 processing, and Serif Panorama Plus 2 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 for final processing.
