It is with great pleasure that I get to announce that Kieran Rooney, from Antrim and member of the Irish Astronomical Association is the winner for October!



The Heart of M31 in Andromeda, imaged 1st October 2007 with 10" LX200 & SXVH16. A total of 26 stacked 2 and 4 minute subframes.

Many thanks.
The first two frames were without a moon so had the best contrast. Trying to mosaic all the frames was a nightmare with the contrast difference (plus the Whirlpool Star Party infringed on processing time :D ).

Have to thank Seanie for his patience as I kept sending him updates as I progressed with the mosaic.
