the good old days was created by Frank Ryan

As a newbie I loved the IFAS photo comp.
I wonder will it ever return?
Oh... the good old days......?

You must be referring to the closed clusters ... I am still looking for one. :P

Well due to lack of interest from boards members is initially why it was shelved, then the weather decided to give me a harder kick in the nads for the past 5 months. I'll probably resurrect it next month when we are sure to be getting more regular clear skies...

...and a chance to see some more closed clusters...

That's more like it, I'd love to see it back.

Not a lack of interest Seanie, more like lack of ability to get a pic of anything due to the perpetual cloud cover. :(

Maybe a competition for the most unusual looking rain cloud?

Seanie - please do bring it back - irrespective of the weather. If the weather is very poor for a given month, all with have is Anto's contribution... Perhaps just extend whatever the current topic is into the next month?

I think the comp is a brilliant idea and certainly generated a ton of enthusiasm. Please keep it going. If you need a hand, let me know.

Oh it will definitely be coming back alright lads, I'd just prefer (based on feedback before) to try and keep it as current as possible, and not go back in time for the sake of having a couple of pretty pictures to add to a thread.
