It is with great pleasure that I get to announce that Conn Buckley is the winner for March!

This image is from Crecora, Co. Limerick on 6th June 2008 at 22:17:45 and is about 20" exposure with a Canon 400D DSLR.

Conn says: "The challenge was to capture an Iridium flare in the same field of view as the crescent Moon and to frame the image with some terrestial features for perspective. The exposure time would not be enough to capture the full Iridium satellite trail but would be long enough not to completely burn out the Moon."

Congratulations Conn, you have won a pair of Helios Solana 10 X 50 Binoculars and a copy of Turn Left At Orion, all kindly donated by Ktec Telescopes Ltd.!

Please continue to support IFAS and its efforts by participation and feedback!

Sorry Seanie, I was away for a few days and only getting around to this now. I appreciate what you are doing with the diversity of astrophotography competition themes and hopefully you will prompt folks to experiment.
John and Martinus … thanks for the compliments and of course special thanks to Stephen in Ktech Telescopes for your generosity.
