Lightning in Turkey was created by Equinox

Not too sure where to put this as its not strictly astrophotography. I'm sure some of you remember the lightning storm in Antalya on the Monday night. I hadn't a clue what settings or anything to use so took a wild guess and ended up with this picture. I am so very very proud of myself! :D

That's so cool!

That image also looks like the lighting is going form the ground up and branching out which is actaully what happens!

Lightning is so cool to look at when you know your computers are safely un-plugged!

Nice shot Amanda, even if it is slightly over-exposed! When I saw this, it reminds me - I've got about 6 videos of that same lightning storm from our room. I have to find the other memory card, as I seem to have forgotten that (nd thus their inclusion on Alberts Eclipse DVD set!)... D'OH!

Dave Mac - thats our little secret....

Thanks. :) Yeah it is a bit over exposed but not bad for guessing the settings! I had two other photos but they were crap. I got the photo enlarged to 12 x 10 and it looks much better. Hehe.
