Nice one Paul, were they as faint as your pics indicate or where they a little more brighter to the eye?

Quite faint compared to the best displays I've seen the past two years, but the remarkable thing, and the camera is telling the truth here, was just how bright the sky was - theoretically at least the darkest time is 0124BST at Larne's longitude and these were taken between an hour and an hour and three quarters after that and the oncoming dawn stopped photography after that.
The nights start drawing in next week!

Cool images Paul. I watched the display myself on the way home after 2am, it was faint but obvious (if that makes sense), lots of filaments parallel to the horizon in it.

Nice one Paul.
They looked like they spanned a great deal of the horizon.
Looks like clear skies here again tonight,
lets hope for an encore.
