Add a "Skype" field in profile? was created by Seanie_Morris
This programme is catching on fast, particularly because of its ease of use as both a PC to PC phone call dialer, and VoIP dialer. Perhaps a field for a user's Skype ID can be added like the Yahoo/AOL/MSN etc?

It's a good idea for the future but I wouldn't consider it a high priority just right now. For now I'd suggest anyone who wants to give out their skype details add it to their signatures.

I'm reluctant to do so. The last thing I want is more space on a thread being taken up by signatures than by actual content of posts!

Meh - then add GoogleTalk name, Blueface name, etc etc etc. Skype's main function is not Instant Messenging - it's cheap phone calls to anywhere in the world. I don't think it'll ever really catch on in the IM world like MSN (cough spit) or yahoo messenger.
