Unable to post in a certain forum today was created by Seanie_Morris
I couldn't get a post up in Announcement (still can't at this time), yet I could do a test post in the Moderators forum.
Midlands Astronomy Club.

Your posts seem to have gone up fine.

Starting a thread takes a long time as the emails ahve to get sent out for new topic notifications. You need to be patient when starting threads.

When you reply it's always instant. When you start threads in private boards it's pretty much instant (almost no emails to send) but it takes up to 10 seconds if the server is under heavy load to start a new topic.

Website is REALLY slow today when posting new messages.
I tried twice to post a new message and it just could not be done. It timed out on both occasions. I've also noticed that others users have had problems recently resulting in multiple posts.

Is it just the e-mail notifications feature that is causing this delay?
