Hey all,

Thanks Neill, I'll keep an eye on the rte player for that.

Regarding getting to Kerry- I'll be heading down on the morning of the 14th. I'm coming from Lucan. So if anyone wants a lift, just give me a shout and we can arrange to meet up that morning. I'm bringing a dob down that i'm hoping will fit in the boot (I'll have to check that because i've never used this car for astro-journeying before) so the back seat is open for any equipment/bags you may want to bring. Just thought i'd throw that out there in case I can make someones life a little easier :D

Looking forward to seeing all you down there

Sean

Hey folks,

Was just thinking, especially from the people who were there last year, is there anything you can think of that people might want to bring? Something that you didnt think of last year and thought "i really wish i had brought one of those". Could be anything from astro-gear to wellies or whatever.

Thanks, Sean

Hi Sean

Write up a list a couple of days beforehand and add to it as you remember something else, check it off as you load up.
Don't forget your coat and possibly a wool hat and if your gear needs batteries bring extras.
Check all your gear works a day or so before hand, last year my mount wasn't working when I set it up and the scope was useless.
Look forward to seeing you.
As it's your first time at SSP don't let Roy bully you, just punch him in the nose and he'll leave you alone.

Haha, thanks for the advice. Poor Roy :-)

Yeah, looking forward to seeing you again- we met once at sugarloaf a good while back now (think we spent most of the night looking at ursa major and talking about ET life)

I'll check secondary mirror before i go but with my dob, not much point going near primary till i get there- it'll probably be miles out!!!
