In the interests of my sanity I have created an Atmospherics forum.

Please use it for atmospheric stuff.

I'll give it a month or so to see how many people start topics on it before we decide whether to keep it or not.

First of all if anyone has been paying attention to myself or Conor's atmospheric images you would have noticed a recurrent trend of late. Since the last 'issue' and with correspondance via several moderators you will see that the day to day posting of these images has been terminated by myself and Conor. Any images of these phenomena that do appear here from me are done so with the justification that they are exceptionally bright or have strong colour intensity, complexity or are of a very photogenic nature and i for one feel they are adequate to share with other observers and imagers. I make no apologies what so ever for this wether anyone likes these phenomena or not becasue i was told to post them in the observing section by the moderators.

Second of all i would fully stand behind the atmospheric thread comming back online....surely it would be a good thing and what harm would it do anyway?

Last but not least are the comments made involving the words 'ego' and 'showing off' which are unjust and only show the transparency of the accusers ego!

Lets get the bows and Haloes the credit they deserve for there rich diversity and beauty! :D

Good old badgering, I knew you'd come to the rescue Al.
Conor and Martin, do understand that this was never a personal attack on you two as far as I'm concerned, I just have an opinion on where these type of threads should be.

Guys im not offended in any way and do not see this as a persoanl attack at all and would understand your decision on this what ever way the dice rolled.

But there was a few comments by a certain individual that i do consider personal attacks...no guessing who he is. :)
