Unfortunately I can't Aubrey. Have you checked the Dublin Stargazers Group on Meetups. They go up every now and then and might have something on. Weather not looking good though.

www.met.ie
are now saying that the weather on Friday night will be dry and with clear spells.
So it is still looking hopeful to do some observing.
Jupiter, Mars and Saturn will be on my list.
9 pm is a good time to arrive and set up our equipment.
Aubrey.

Thank you, Sean.
9.30 pm is fine.
I have checked the time of sunset.
It will occur at 9.36.
Does anyone else want to join me and Sean?
Aubrey.

Hi all.
I appear to have 2 more people joining me for tomorrow night.
That makes 4 in all.
I just might have a few more IAS members coming with their scopes.
Clear skies,
Aubrey.

Random Pillars and I met up at the Sugarloaf car park on Friday night 22nd July and although the sky remained completely overcast for the entire evening, we enjoyed chatting about all things to do with observational astronomy. We discussed telescopes, lunar and solar eclipses, planets, double and multiple stars and star clusters. We left both our telescopes in our vehicles. We also talked about the late Antonin Rukl who died a few days ago.
We both headed home at 11 pm having kept ourselves entertained.
Near the end, we both saw a waning gibbous Moon rising in the eastern sky -it was very orange and strange looking. But we saw no stars or planets. Still we both thought it was all worthwhile and agreed we must meet up again -maybe on another Friday night when others could come to join in.
Thank you for reading,
Aubrey.
