There is also now a Nikon version of the Canon BackyardEOS www.otelescope.com/index.php?/page/index.html

Might be worth looking at if you are getting into imaging with the DSLR, planetary or long exposure.

Hi, would what work? BackyardNikon is used to program and control your camera to take sequences of multiple images and video from a laptop.

It looks like you are taking a single shot and just need a steady camera using a tripod whilst using the camera timer delay or alternatively get a remote shutter release. If you lower your ISO you might get some detail on Jupiter but lose the moons.
