Thanks John. In truth I am not 100% with the star spikes. The "general public" seem to like them (judging by reaction to many pictures on the internet) but I myself am not too sure they enhance the end result. They are certainly very handy for covering up blotchy stars (which are all too common when doing narrow band|).
In this instance, they were in, they were out. In the end I put them back in....without being too heavy handed with them.
Me: I am still undecided if they are a good thing or not.

Very nice shot there, I'm not sold on the star spikes either, they look a little wide to me/
I'd imagine they should b a little thinner/sharper maybe, great shot all the same.

Thanks for the comments Dave. I think I will have to lean on the side of no artificial spikes too. I thought I was being very light handed with the spikes when I put them in....but when you know they are there it is so hard to ignore them.
