Hi,

I've just noticed that google have a search tailored for searching journal databases. Its at scholar.google.com

It does not offer the detailed search capabilities for astronomical databases that www.arxiv.org or adswww.harvard.edu/ do, but it does allow you search them more easily especially for searches when you are looking for something fairly specific but dont know where best to look on other searches.

It does not allow you to download all articles however. Several professional astronomical journals do not provide free electronic downloads and google does not bypass this.

Cheers,
~Al

Nice..... why didn't I have that engine when I was writing my dissertation? :-)

Everyone in Ireland buys Meade, and they all buy them from Lidl.
