FWIW I like the new topic notification. I'll be leaving it turned on. I created an outlook rule to place messages from the IFAS boards into a dedicated folder.

One other feature that some may find of use is the "View posts since last visit" option on the main board (top right).

The exact link is www.irishastronomy.org/boards/search.php?search_id=newposts

This highlights only the new posts since you last visited the site (obviously enough!)
