Much better passes tonight for the 9:14 STS128 and 9:22pm ISS. Couldn't track the Shuttle in the bins but could see it naked eye for most of the pass from the Meridian to the earths shadow. Still quite dim though due to the transparency not being perfect with some high haze. ISS was much brighter and I followed that from about 10ยบ high in the west for the rest of the flyover. Its amazing how much larger it looks in the bins when its overhead compared to low in the west or east. Turned a red and then rusty colour before browning out as it approached and arrived at the earths shadow.

I got Discovery last night at 2117 but like others noted that it was very dim. The ISS eight minutes later was its excellent bright self!
