When Was The Last Time...

...you saw the aurora from Ireland?

I was thinking about this as I was reading the solar forum in Astronomy Now and I would estimate that it has to be at least 15 years for me.

I'm putting it down to the increased light pollution from Dublin.

November 2003 for me, during the last great solar storm, what a sight i'll never forget, I must post the pictures up!

Yep, October and November '03 were two fab displays. I remember one in 1992 almost as good as the November '03 one. I saw a weak display in 2005 also, also spotted by a few neighours, can't remember the time of year though.

I've never seen one. I remember hearing about the October 2003 one as it was happening, but I couldn't see it from where I was.
