hi Roy,

Many thanks for cracking the whip on this one and getting us enthused about an observing weekend in SW Kerry.

I'm definitely interested in tagging along despite any possible sonorous or grouchy astronomers

My e-mail address is in my signature below so feel free to add me to any mailing list about the event.

Maybe try a post to the SW Kerry Astronomy Club's Facebook page and see if that will garner any response from the group there.

Talk to you soon,

John (Flannery)

Right, Terry's putting this out on his email circulation so we'll see what comes back from that.

BUT, we are supporting an event in the North over that weekend - actually we seem to be busy from the Perseids (not that they're any good this year - 2 days after the Supermoon) right into October one way and another - and that will involve a number of us including me, so I at least am out.

Paul

No problem Paul, thanks for putting this
out in the ethos for us. It's a shame you can't make
it.

@John Flannery
Great to see you're on board. Maybe a few more from
around the other clubs will be able to attend and we can
turn a small idea into a proper observing astrocamp.

So far we have 5 from NIAAS attending, maybe a couple
from G.A.C as-well as a couple from S.A.C.. Paul(Lunartic),Michael Murphy
and myself. So if the weather plays ball it could be a great weekend for all
that attend. I'm gonna give a few more days to get more names on board
before I go back to the owner of The Skelligs Lodge with number and I will get
back to you all with the price she gives for the rooms.
Also I started an events page on facebook, here is the link.

Hi,

This idea sounds really good and despite what will be a very long drive down (6hrs!), very interested in attending for the possibility of observing in such dark skies.

Hi Neill.

Good to hear that you will be going..

Hi,

Never assume anything - I am a different Neill from up North. Member of both clubs in the North.
