South Dublin meeting tonight was created by johnflannery
hi everyone,

the next SDAS meeting is tonight, 4th November, at 8pm in Gonzaga College in Ranelagh, Dublin. The meeting room is in the main part of the school -- go in the main doors, hang a right in the foyer towards the classrooms hallway, and we're the first classroom on the righthand side.

topic this evening is "Fly me to the Moon" to be given by John Flannery. The talk is a potted history of the literary tradition of trips to the Moon over the last 2,000 years ranging from Lucian of Samosata in the 2nd Century AD through Cyrano de Bergerac, Bishop Godwin, and others, to the dawn of modern science fiction.

Brian Seales will also show a short movie recorded about the Spirit and Opportunity rovers that are currently on the surface of Mars.

hope to see you there,

John.
