Hawking cracks black hole paradox

I think I saw something in one yesterday's tabloid newspapers (The Sun/Star...hanging his head in shame!) that Hawking is due to speak at a lecture at the RDS today. Anyone else hear about it??
Apparently he sent a one-line e-mail to the organisers just a few days prior to the conference asking if he could speak at the event. It is anticipated he will present his latest theories and publicly denounce his previous theory.

Yea its at the GR17 conference in the RDS this week. Anyone going to Roger Penroses talk on Friday night?
