So if there was time before the Big Bang, could this mean that there was matter aswell?
If there was matter, then before the Big Bang there could have been a previous Universe which instead of expanding (like our Universe) it might have been collapsing.

I believe that i read something simlar somwhere not so long ago...........
I think it basically theorised that OUR universe is the result of a previous universe collapsing at the end of it's life.
Makes the mind boggle.
