Saturday Sun

Hi all

As has been the case for about a week now, the seeing conditions are not great, it is like looking through a fine gauze, nothing looks pin sharp.  There is a nice collection of spots in the centre of the sun's disc.

With the weather about to break, maybe the atmosphere will clear up.

Thank you for your latest solar sketch, Paul.
Plenty of sunspots and I'm seeing some solar flares too.
It makes me wonder if there will be some aurora activity happening soon.

They are not flares, Aubrey, just some dust on he scanner, I guess. This is a white light sketch where flares are not visible.
With luck we will get some auroral activity.
