Hey there

After a long quiet period the sun is showing some activity again, there is a nice collection of half a dozen spots of various sizes now dotting the face of the sun.

Using an 80mm refractor with an 8mm EP, giving a magnification of 60, they showed up nicely. The sun is low on the horizon at the moment and there is a lot of atmospheric haze, during some of the clearer moments the sight is good.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Never look at the sun with a filter that fits in the eye-piece either.
