That will be pretty cool if it is just that, Peter! I am no expert, but just to play Devil's Advocate...
...as there is a lot of purple in your images, could you be getting an artefact in UV light that is showing up, maybe as something like chromatic aberration? You're probably going to need a different telescope with the same camera on that in order to do a 'process of elimination', if you know what I mean...

the seb is still white, but watch this space, its expected to come back with a bang anytime in the next 2 years.
To me it looks like you got too much purple in the colour balance, making the belt artifically stand out. Adjusting colour balances in photohop would fix this,
