Nice pic, The moon was really thin last night, I had a good look at it also.
Looking forward May 22nd!

Last night, around 22:30hrs as I was leaving for work, there was a slightly larger than Mikes sliver, but the whole 'nightside' was lit up with Earhshine. Anybody else spot it? It was low in the west, following the twillight. Had a real summer look to it... :)

Well done Michael. That's eight hours knocked off my personal record and, I think, two hours below the previous, unofficial, IFAS record as held by Ronan Newman.

Thanks for all the comments, but as for the record it goes to Trevor who was the first to spot it low in the west 10 minutes before I got to the observing site. By time I got setup and took the images it was just 4 degrees off of the horizon.
I might have the record for the youngest image form Ireland though :P ????
