The comet should rise at roughly 7.20am, in the ever brightening sky....

Hi,

Quick report of Comet McNaught C/2006 P1 this morning (10th Jan). Quite a dramatic sight, detail in tail in my 12x36s. Also stellar central condensation visible to naked-eye.

Tail still visible in binocs about 20 minutes before sunrise.

Took photos, but don't know how they turned out as yet.

John
