WOW.....................the sky is alive tonight with millions of sparkly little things. Its been a while since i've seen such clear skies.

How are conditions where you are?

Think i might head out later with my new bins and sky scout. I'm too lazy to hoof the scope out....................and its such a nice night that i think a bit of casual bins observation is in order.

My new bins work GREAT. I never knew there were so many stars in the sky. They are really sensitive to light and pick up the faintest of stars.

My next scope is going to be a Vixen VMC200L Catadioptric OTA

All clear in Co. Down. Few gusts of wind but not enough to interfere with things yet.

Now you mention it Phoenix..................the wind has completely dropped here. It was so windy for the last 24hrs...............any small telescope would have been blown away.

Tonight i think i will make it my mission to go out front and look NW and finally see Holmes. I must be the only person alive who hasnt seen it yet............purely cuz outfront my house there are so many street lights that it makes observing W,NW impossible.

How do you find the skyscout, is it easy to use and how would it affect your night vision ?
