Satellites was created by pj30something
Just wondering if anyone knows what satellites were due to pass over Ireland tonight at about 7PM.

I saw one pass overhead tonight at about 7PM from west to east and just want to find out the name.

I know the ISS passes over at about that time so maybe it was that.

Check out www.heavens-above.com/ for this kind of info. You can enter your location and it will tell you what's visible and when.

Hey PJ, if you haven't noticed already, you'll see about 8 to 10 satellites pass over head in different directions and paths overhead an hour. Sometimes, there could be more, but thats the average. Some will be bright (not as bright as e.g. the ISS), but for the most part, you wont be able to find out which ones they are.

Also keep an eye out for Iridium Flares. They are also listed on that Heavens Above site.

That's all you ot to do. If you're out meteor watching, you'll soon cop the amount of satellites whizzing overhead.
