Last night Sunday 4th of May Dave Grennan, Declan McCormack AKA Dogstar from the boards and myself headed out to the old ruins of mellifont Abbey in the ancient Boyne valley Co Louth. With 1 cannon 350D, Declan's 400D Dave's 16" mini obsessionatorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ForwardSlash Dob :) . When we got set up the sky was jet black, the seeing was excellent looking up at the sky with the old ruins in the foreground was just amazing. I'm really looking forward to seeing the star trail shots that Declan took with the 400D. As for looking through to DOB the views where just WOW first M13 then M51 was spectacular the amount of detail in the spiral arms was awesome. Then M81,82,92 and so on I could type in numbers all day.

All and all I had a great night out with great friends under very dark skies plus a lot of great crack
