The only thing better than it would be a 2" version. I've often though about getting one but they are very big and expensive. However, they would be the bees-knees. Hopefully I've explained it a little more clearly.

Yip,
I got the 2" version on astromart a while back at nowhere near the full price and it screws directly onto the back of the Meade SCT tube, this would fit a celestron SCT also. I got another adapter so it fits into a 2" barrel (for refractor).
Like Michael said, they are excellent, I only wish I had discovered these long ago.

Dave,
There are a few different 2" types. Do you know what model number is yours by any chance?

Michael,
It the borg 7835 focuser

www.sciencecenter.net/hutech/borg/parts/html/7835.htm

I also got the 7508 which allows a 2 inch eyepiece to be placed into it.
and a 7428 SCT thread adapter.

The 7837 is a more heavy duty version of this. I find with the 7835 that its rotational resistance does increase when you attach the canon on to it, especially as the telescope becomes more horizontal. It probabily at its limit with this camera, but it doesn't degrade the performance.

What would you need to put the 7835 into a 2" diagonal? Is there a seperate adaptor or would you use the 7428 plus a sct-2" adapter?

Yea,
You'd use the 7428 and the 2" SCT thread adapter you have, that will allow you to put it into any 2" barrel, be it a star diagonal or directly at the back of the telescope.
