Is the Lxd75 mount much of an improvement over your Lxd55 one? Is the Ota the same? Thanks for the replies... Im over 8 months looking for a new scope, and cant quite decide yet :(

Albert, have you managed to take any astrophotos, even short exposures successfully? Is it difficult to collimate? Any advice is readily absorbed, thanks :D

I've manageed webcam planetary work without any problems. I havent experimented much with long exposure photography, just a couple of 30 second shots of the Orion nebula (I'll see if I can find them tonight) with my film SLR. As the nights get darker I'll try and get better shots with the digital SLR.

Collimation is fairly easy, It never gets that far out so only minor adjustments are needed. Since the tube is short you can reach the mirror screws while looking into the scope which makes the job easier.

I thought US companies were not allowed ship Meade/Celestron outside the states. I may be wrong.

Yes, I tried two US companies and gave up. Their contract with Meade forbids them to supply outside the US. I would assume this lets them charge a wee bit more for the same product in another country. You could find someone in the US to purchase it for you and ship it to you, but, it would also kill the guarantee.
