Lidl ETX-70 offer is back!!!

Did any of you try to piggy-back an SLR on the etx70?
Can the motor drives handle it if you balance it correctly?

It would also make for a great guide scope for e.g. using with larger dobs.

I know it is a bit late in the day for this question, but i was just wondering if the telescopes at LIDL which go on sale in a few hours will be snapped up very quickly?
Would it be advisable to be there at 8am when the store opens?

just been to lidl, got to the finglas one about half eight ans saw 2 people going out the door with them. when i got there, 5 were left of the meade scopes ( make that 4 now) and loads of the cheaper ones.
